Hamilton’s own MC Stormtroopa is a rapper with a great gimmick. He celebrates geekdom with his Nerdcore rap parodies based on Star Wars. He takes us into outer space, spitting rhymes about seducing Padme, his best pal Darth Vader and other Star Wars related things. With songs such as Empire Pride, Message to the Rebels and Blowing up the Universe.

He's been performing around New Zealand since his debut live performance at the 2007 Camp A Low Hum and His comedic approach is not too dissimilar to the very successful Flight Of The Concords. You could even say he's the rap version.

Due to the fact that he bases his stuff on Star Wars (copyright Lucasfilms), He's not allowed to make any profit from it, but he's making a name for himself. He's scored an article in his local rag the Waikato times played at The Armageddon Expo in Auckland and featured in 3 News reporter David Farriers Investigation of Nerdcore rap which has had over 26000 views on youtube. He's also played support for big name Kiwi acts like The Mint Chicks, Cut Off Your Hands, So So Modern and The Vacants.
