Eminem's Palin Spoof Condemned By Bill O'Reilly

Posted Fri 10 Apr 2009 11:04AM NZST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

Eminen's new video "We Made You" mocks women who have dominated the news in the last year. Set up as a spoof of the Bret Michaels reality show Rock Of Love, Em pokes fun of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Amy Winehouse, Ellen DeGeneres and Sarah Palin.

Though critics can find fault with all of the portrayals, The O'Reilly Factor host Bill O'Reilly defends just one of the women-Sarah Palin, the Alaska Governor who was the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate.

O'Reilly, a longtime hip-hop antagonist, calls Eminem's depiction of Palin crude. A Palin lookalike dressed in a low cut bustier and business suit sits atop of an office desk, flirting with a shirtless Eminem posing as Palin's husband.

O'Reilly is upset the media has not condemned Em for the video. "Eminem is obviously on an obscene rant about Sarah Palin," O'Reilly says in Wednesday's broadcast. "Totally obscene. Totally inappropriate. Nothing good about it."

O'Reilly feels that political analysts for Media Matters, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and NBC should have called Eminem to task for his treatment of Palin.

"The video means nothing," O'Reilly says. "It plays before kids who are confused. But the hypocrisy and the dishonesty of the media does mean something in this country. It is out of control and is demonstrable by this."

I know that O'Reilly dishes politics, is a Palin supporter, and wants to blast other media outlets for letting Eminem's political dig slip through the cracks. It is an interesting perspective. However, if he finds offensive and "crude" Eminem's implication that former beauty queen Palin is a sex symbol, I wonder if O'Reilly only feels that way because she is a politician?

What about the video's insensitive and mocking depictions of Amy Winehouse, Jessica Simpson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan? Are those okay?

Like it or not, "We Made You" is Eminem's typical satire. In my opinion, Tina Fey's pre-election Palin impressions on Saturday Night Live were much more damaging to Palin's image than this Eminem video.

The thing about it,O'Reilly will debate anyone, anytime. All of these moonbat Liberal Hollywood idgets love talking crap about him,but when he invites them on his show they run away too scared to go.Funny stuff. As far as Emeniem goes, he's right. If anyone over the age of 25 is listening to him, they are more than likely living in their parents basement.

Eminem is a womaninzer. The difference is Palin is being blasted becasue she is republican woman who doesnt fit the Liberal mold and that is what pisses everyone off.. .. NEWS FLASH not everyone is a democrat. if this was hiliary being made fun of it would have been rejected so fast none of us would of known. why because she is a democrat. Palin should not be compared to any of those women in his video, its insulting to me as a woman to put her on the same level as them. That is why O'Riley is mad... THINK ABOUT IT!
eminem is a scumbag.

O'Reilly, the ultimate hypocrite. If it had been Michelle Obama instead of Palin in the same pose/satire, O'Reilly would have been laughing his bigoted a$$ off.

K - it's called freedom of speech. If everybody only said things that no one would be offended by, we'd live in a boring ass world where nothing ever progressed. As a very liberated and successful female, I for one am incredibly annoyed by "feminists" who think feminism is about being above everyone else...it's about equality, darlin'. Get over it.

Ah the wonders of freedom of speech. Too bad it works both ways sometimes...

I find it funny that O'Reilly is angry. Nothing is really said about Palin, and if it is, who cares. O'reilly had a knack of disliking rappers as a way to draw an audience. O'reilly isn't special or even good at what he does. He's very bland and boring and his reactions are easily gauged. Eminem on the other hand, although his st¥le is a bit worn at this point, is still much more entertaining than O'Reilly. O'Rielly isn't smart, or enlightened, he's just another news anchor who cuts people off before they answer his questions in order to avoid looking like an idiot when he's proven wrong. He's also disliked Ludacris, who has been one of the least offensive rap acts in the last 8 years. O'Reilly is a sad figure. He want to be a hero, but he doesn't have the intelligence to get it done.

Bill, you are an idiot! the only reason you do this is because it gets your miserable self another 15 min in the spot light! if you were really upset and truly gave a damm about poor ol sarah you would be more inclined to talk about the photo shopped imagerey of a big titted Sarah(someones elses no doubt) adorning republican screensavers on pc's and cell phones everywhere! you could care less about Sarah you ninny! it's all about you! shut the hell up!

right al. sheesh just look at those oak tree legs. omg no ankles at all.

What is obscene is O'Reilly's rant. If anyone wants to talk trash about Sarah Palin then so be it. She is a public figure like Lindsay Lohan, Obama and any other athlete or celebrity.

134. Ames25 -
AaronK, you actually think that O'Reilly is "trying to make life better for people in our country" Are you kidding me? O'Reilly is racist, plus what kind of people do you think back him? People like himself, and that's the way he wants it and that's why he still has his dumba$$ show.......

if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen...

and Alaska is a Freezer, how could she really take any heat?

And How f****in' stupid would anyone be to vote for her?

I think O' Reilly is making a great point. I look down at Eminem and laugh. He's a lowlife and America doesn't need him. Go to France w/ all the other (expletive)s.

did not see the video, and not a fan of EM, but if O'Reilly doesnt like it, it must be good

Its true - Em has every freedom to be a dumbass
he should walk around with a big L on his pointy little forhead for the Looser he is. I bet his parents hate him.

I think the saddest thing about Bill O'Reilly is that he will not admit he is Republican.
He constantly uses the term left and liberal and supports only Republicans but then lies to his audience and claims he is fair and balanced and he is not affiliated with any party.
I think it is absolutely disgusting that he thinks people are as stupid as he is.
