Snoop Dogg's 'Gangsta Luv' Video Offers A Taste Of 'True Blood'
Snoop Dogg takes on many personas in his new video, "Gangsta Luv," but it's the vampire character that is most striking.
In the video for Snoop's first single from his 10th
album "Malice N Wonderland," due out on December 8, the legendary rapper rides
around town in the back of a low rider filled with video vixens.
For the vampire scene, Snoop and his entourage don fangs, wear dark colored clothes, and simulate quenching their thirst for blood. The scenario coincides with the "Gangsta Luv" lyric that references the popular HBO series "True Blood":
"Everyday is the same thang
I creep in
It's like 'True Blood'
I sink my teeth in
I gotta have it"
Snoop recently told MTV that he wanted to appear on the show. "You know I'm down with it," Snoop said. "I love that show. I wish I could be on it. I'd be a hell of a vampire, don't you think? So what's happenin'? ‘True Blood,' get at me-Snoop Dogg wants to be a vampire."
Portraying a vampire would not be a stretch for Snoop. In
2001, he proved his horror flick villain chops. He starred in "Bones," playing lead
character Jimmy Bones, the ghost of a slain gang member who seeks revenge on
those behind his murder.

Sold, Not To Be Told." He released four albums with the label before signing
