The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy Record Michael Jackson Tribute Song

Posted Fri 3 Jul 2009 8:01AM NZST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy, Boyz II Men, and Polow Da Don teamed up to record a tribute to Michael Jackson, "Better On The Other Side."

The Game provides the bulk of the lyrics, sharing personal experiences as a kid who grew listening to Michael's music. Chris Brown and Wayna Morris from Boyz II Men also offer lead vocals.

They recorded this song immediately and released it Friday, June 26, the day following Michael's passing to cardiac arrest. It's a good track. You can feel the sincerity in each of the artists' vocals.

Chris and T.I., It shows in all that you do in your music careers that Michael has influenced you and a million others. Your tribute to MJ made me tear because it came from your hearts. I think it is beautiful and true for many of us whom he touched so deeply. He inspired us to "Heal the World" through his attemptsti strive for world peace. What other "Icon" that you know of stopped two countries from going to war? I think the world has been in a fog and has forgotten what Michael has accomplished in his lifetime. First, he is a man. Michael is a son, a father, a uncle, a lover, an international superstar and the list goes on and on. My heart goes out to his entire family along with my deepest sympathy. His music helped me become the person that I am today and I will be eternally greatful to the "Man in the Mirror" . May the "King of Pop" finally rest in peace since he couldn't obtain it in this life. I'll miss you.

Please..Please..Please..Stop it with the Chris Brown stuff. He made a mistake, as we all do in life. Everyone that's made at him need to be careful. Somewhere in life we all make mistakes. Diddy, J-Z, Lil' Wayne, 50 cent, Nelly, Ray Lewis, and many more important people made mistakes. Leave the young man alone and let 'God' along with the court system, deal with Chris. This is the type of stuff that make some people think about suicide. (PRESSURE). Looking forward of your return Chris.

i absolutely loved that song, and i think that was a good idea to express your feelings. i am truly disappointed that he died, and i wish he could have lived longer. also i am completely grossed out that people would make up such horrible stories like the ones that are out there now. michael jackson was a good person, and i don't think that people that don't know him, or anything about him should stereotype him. Michael jacksons music and heart has touched the world, and i hope even if you didn't like his music or him in general that you are atleast sad that he died. His kindness and charity will on forever as will his music. now that hes in a better place i give you all my love and wish you to r.i.p. we love you michael and hope your better now. forever michael jackson.

THAT WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS I EVER HEARD AND I THINK THAT IT WAS SO AMAZING HOW ALL OF THOSE STARS CAME TOGETHER TO HONOR THE WORLD'S GREATEST PERFORMER, THE KING OF POP, MICHAEL JACKSON. HE WAS, WELL, THERE REALLY ISN'T A WORD TO DESCRIBE MICHAEL BUT TO SAY THE LEAST HE WAS SO AMAZING. I LOVE U MICHAEL JACKSON. MY HEART , LOVE ,AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND THOUGH I NEVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO MEET MICHAEL HE SEEMED LIKE FAMILY TO ME. R.I.P. KING OF POP
P.S. WAT KILLS ME IS THAT PEOPLE WANNA SAY THE DONT LIKE THE SONG BECAUSE CHRIS BROWN IS IN IT. AND I THINK THAT IS JUST SO STUPID. THE SONG WAS NOT ABOUT NOR WAS IT FOR CHRIS BROWN. THE SONG WAS HONORING A LEGEND AND I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE LOOKED PASS WHAT CHRIS BROWN DID IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE AND REALIZED THAT THIS SONG IS AND SHOULD BE ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON
AGAIN R.I.P. (KING OF POP) MICHAEL JACKSON
