The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy Record Michael Jackson Tribute Song

Posted Fri 3 Jul 2009 8:01AM NZST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy, Boyz II Men, and Polow Da Don teamed up to record a tribute to Michael Jackson, "Better On The Other Side."

The Game provides the bulk of the lyrics, sharing personal experiences as a kid who grew listening to Michael's music. Chris Brown and Wayna Morris from Boyz II Men also offer lead vocals.

They recorded this song immediately and released it Friday, June 26, the day following Michael's passing to cardiac arrest. It's a good track. You can feel the sincerity in each of the artists' vocals.

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and his brothers. I remember having every Right On magazine poster of him and his family that I could get in the 70's plastered all over my bedroom walls. I loved the man and his music. R.I.P. Michael, I will miss you. This song is a beautiful tribute, Chris glad to see you singing again. The world of song and dance was greater because you played a major part in it. You will forever be remember as THE KING OF POP.

just wanted to pay my respect to all that's near & dear to the Jackson Family. God is with you always. Michael is gone but trust when I say he's watching over everything that is going on. As far as Chris Brown I'm glad that he in with the Game & hsi tribute is fine with me. Take a look @ yourself, just like Michael said the man in the mirror, take a look @ all you've done you just haven't been caught yet, or man enough to say you did wrong, only God can judge those, so don't be thinking about your feelings cause you been disappointed in what someone else does, you be man enough & not do it. By it a SHAME you don't wanta by a great record or give credit to this beautiful some, the past is the past, haven't we learned the Michael Jackson, LET THOUSE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE. Do you think you'll be able to throw it. Didn't think so, so grow up. Thanks

I found this track during the weekend that we were all in a frenzy after Michael Jackson died and my immediate perception was that The Game (and company) did not waste any time and got into the studio quickly.

This is a great tribute song and it displays how much of an impact Michael Jackson had on us, if a hardcore rapper is affected by his death the same way that many other fans are.

Cheers to The Game, P. Diddy, and the rest of the company in this song and RIP to Michael Jackson.

Those who are without sin cast the first stone. Leave Chris Brown ALONE!!! Chris and others, CONGRATULATIONS on such a tremendous tribute to MJ who deserves it and more. You all do not ever forget him. Please bring back his fashions, styles including hairstyles and most of all, his dance performances. You all can do it being such pros. I love you all and feel the pains you feel too in losing such a remakable human being. He is better off on the other side for REAL! He is happier and is forever smiling. We do LOVE you so much MJ! You sweet gentlemen, keep up the fantabulous work you do and be good to yourselves and others. Love you all!!!!!!!!!

I Think It Was Great and This Was Needed in Remberance Of Michael. It Was Good To See Chris Brown On It. It Still Touches Me On Kayne West Mother's Song It Sticks With Me And Both Of Them are Well Missed

I couldn't believe it when he died. It is tragic and he will be remembered long from now.

P.S. Chris Brown is an amazing artist and should be known as that. The media has been atacking Chris as they did to MJ. Besides that, everyone mistakes, but since they're famous, people make a big deal out of it.
