The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy Record Michael Jackson Tribute Song

Posted Fri 3 Jul 2009 8:01AM NZST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy, Boyz II Men, and Polow Da Don teamed up to record a tribute to Michael Jackson, "Better On The Other Side."

The Game provides the bulk of the lyrics, sharing personal experiences as a kid who grew listening to Michael's music. Chris Brown and Wayna Morris from Boyz II Men also offer lead vocals.

They recorded this song immediately and released it Friday, June 26, the day following Michael's passing to cardiac arrest. It's a good track. You can feel the sincerity in each of the artists' vocals.

Those young men did a wonderful job on their song. It's very moving to me. Michael Jackson was one of the greatest influences for a wide range of singers. He will be missed greatly.

Very beautiful tribute. No matter what nancy grace and the negative media are saying Michael Jackson is a legend and will forever live in all his fans heart. Im not related to Michael but I have the honor to have the last name of Jackson and that alone means alot. No one can do the moonwalk better or make a crowd cry better than the LATE GREAT MICHAEL JACKSON. R.I.P. King of Pop you are the greatest....

Chris Brown has no business in this song, and because of that I will not buy it! How sad=(

I am quite sore at Chris Brown at the moment, however this song is really touching... I appreciate these artists getting together to pay tribute to this amazing man.
I feel as though I have lost a childhood friend. It's been over a week and I still struggle to believe it. R.I.P my dear friend, you will be missed... oh will you ever be missed. I hope you can attain the peace in death that eluded you the last 15 years of your life...

May GOD be with the Jackson Family at this the saddest times for the entire world. He is sorely miss all ready. Death is always sad for families but the death of M.J. has devestated the world. I have faith that it truly is "better on the other side".

R.I.P. the late GREAT Michael Jackson.

I hope is better on the other side M.J. This life really sucks. Hatred, blackmaling, selfishness, envy. . .you are free from all these now. Be in peace Micheal Joseph Jackson. You will be missed. We love you but God loves you more

Are you serious? Everyone is still mad over the Chris Brown and Rihanna thing. Please be over it she didn't even want a stay away order on him so why is everyone still mad. This was a nice song I wish Chris could have participated in the Michael Jackson tribute at the bet awards. He would have done his thing.

This is a beautiful and fitting song. It's not about Chris Brown or anyone else. It's meant for Michael Jackson (who might I add personally stated that he saw alot of himself and his talents in Chris Brown). Michael Jackson was also a victim of the media frenzy and a victim of what some people are doing right now to Chris Brown....do not persecute that young man and give him any reason to endure the same pains that MJ did. Get over the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation. Its over. The young man made a mistake (as many people in the industry and real life do). I could list others who have had cases for "abuse" and it never got this much publicity. Only because of who it involved has it become such a media frenzy. Rihanna doesn't even want a stay away order against him. And until anyone knows the circumstances leading up to it, whether there was a previous incident from the other person (Rihanna) or anything else about the situation IT ISN'T anyone else's business. Let the KING OF POP be honored with this musical tribute and scratch all the drama.

Get over it. So he made a mistake. He's being punished for it. I can only hope that God will forgive ya'll for ya's mistakes. Chris, despite what these heathens are talking about I know it was a mistake. I am saddened by Michael's death but know that this will be a blessed day.
