Dancing to an Empire' Dream...

Summer, means road trips and hammocks by the beach.
Empire Of The Sun, means dance-sheen infiltrating your every playlist.
... and by golly, do they mean sweet, sharp business.

A pessimist would simply call it a second wave of MGMT-influence. But if your ringing negativity, you have obviously not had your ears tuned in. Spinning like an endless mix CD, Empire Of The Sun's debut album 'Walking On A Dream', plays with fantastical visions united with whimsical urgency.
Title track 'Walking On A Dream' is everything nonsensical, but nothing tiresome. Another highlight, is the cruisey 'Half Mast'. The second half of the album delves into dance-adventure, shimmying from jungle beat exploration, to a dash of acoustic guitar.
Hailing from that country over yonder Tasman Sea, the duo are elsewhere recognised as Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau.
Empire Of The Sun 'Walking On A Dream', is in-stores now.
Other Summer essential albums include The Bird And The Bee 'Ray Guns Are Just Not The Future', Black Kids 'Partie Traumatic', Los Campesinos! 'We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed', Late Of The Pier 'Fantasy Black Channel' & Cash Cash 'Take It To The Floor'.
